The Amalfitan people love summer. They take their boats out to sea, swim in beautiful waters off remote beaches, fire-up the family pizza oven, and break out the homemade wine! This year we invite you to join in the fun!
If you love the outdoors - boating, beach-hopping, swimming, and country walks - and if you enjoy fabulous food and friendly people - you don't want to miss "Amalfi in Summer".
The week will include wonderful boat-trips, taking you to all parts of the Amalfi Coast on a variety of sea-going vessels; traditional wooden boats, a beautiful sailboat, as well as a deluxe yacht. You'll be snorkeling in grottos and fiords, and among the cluster of famous islands called Li Galli.
You'll feast on the catch-of-the day, caught and cooked by the fishermen, and served in the breezy, sexy, little shack-cum-restaurants that pop up on the beaches of Amalfi in summertime. Our friends will welcome you into their homes to enjoy the abundance of their gardens, groves, and vines, and partake of their age-old traditions.
You'll visit all of the charming villages you've heard about - Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello - and also some you haven't, such as Minori, Furore, and Conca dei Marini. In the company of a local cultural expert you'll see the the Coast's unique cultural treasures, such as the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, Villa Cimbrone Gardens, the ancient Villa Romana, and Amalfi's Papermill Museum.
A local vineyard visit and tasting of wines made from rare grape varieties will round-out the week just perfectly.
The week will be active and full, yet relaxed. Just what an ideal summer experience should be. We know that at the end we'll have to tear you away to send you home. But the Amalfi Coast will have become your home-away-from-home because you've lived it like a local, with Amalfi Life.
