"We
sit at home sometimes and talk about how it was such an amazing
experience. We occasionally get what we call "Amalfi fever", where we
are craving to return."

Overview
Giocondo Cavaliere, our local expert and resident gastronome, is
devoted to the authentic cuisine of his native region.
His recipe for experiencing the Amalfi Coast combines equal parts of
culture, cuisine, and local lifestyle, for an authentic southern
Italian culinary adventure.
Of course we are biased, but with the freshest fruits and vegetables,
seafood, cheeses, and sumptuous pasta dishes, we think this is some of
the best food in Italy. Not to mention the wonderful world of Campania
wines.
Cooks and non-cooks alike love this tour for its originality, deep
insights, and feeling of immersion that Amalfi Life brings to you.

Itinerary
Day One
Getting Acquainted
Upon your arrival in Naples we provide a personal greeting and private
transfer to the charming hotel that awaits you in Amalfi Village.
There is time to unpack, relax and admire your spectacular
surroundings. Then in the early evening we will have a leisurely
walking tour of this wonderful village, then dinner by the sea.
Day Two
Amalfitan Cuisine
This morning you will be at the chef's side at Trattoria Da Gemma
where classic Amalfitan cooking has been taking place for 100 years.
You will help to prepare the authentic seafood and pasta dishes of the region with ingredients like the prized pomodorini tomatoes, cedrone lemons and local olive oil. The lesson is followed by a sumptuous 4-course lunch. In the late
afternoon we take a cruise to the village of Positano for some
exploring, shopping, and dinner.
Day Three
Vineyards of Tramonti, Pompeii
Tramonti is a collection of 13 little hamlets nestled in the mountains
behind the Amalfi Coast;
a particularly picturesque local wine-growing area. We will have lunch
in a very charming and congenial country Inn, followed by a tour and
vineyard visit conducted by the winemaker himself. Later in the
afternoon when the other tours have left, we will have a special
in-depth tour of Pompeii.
Day Four
Private Cruise to Capri and Dinner "on the Rocks".
Today we take a private cruise in a traditional coastal boat and enjoy a taste of this legendary island. On the return we will stop at the seaside village of Marina del Cantone to have dinner at the famous Lo Scoglio restaurant whose open-air dining room juts out over the sea on an enormous rock. Lo Scoglio is renowned for its traditional dishes made from organic ingredients from its gardens and fish plucked from their own aquarium.
Day Five
Ravello, Gardens and Wine
This morning we visit the adorable village of Ravello and have a tour of its fetching sites including the amazing landscaped gardens of the Villa Cimbrone. We will enjoy a private wine tasting and lunch in the restaurant of the Cimbrone's 13th century villa-hotel overlooking one of the most photographed views in Europe.
Later in the day we will return to Amalfi for a private visit to the Valle dei Mulini Limoncello Factory and dinner in the home of the factory owner who will prepare special dishes based on traditional lemon recipes.
Day Six
Welcome to a Local Home
Today a local household opens its doors to us and a wonderful homemaker shares her secrets of making the traditional Neapolitan pizza - a national treasure. We will partake of the family's homemade wine, olive oil and , best of all, their hospitality. Later in the day you will have a chance to relax or do some shopping and then get ready for a sumptuous farewell dinner.
Day Seven
Breakfast and Departure
If you are returning home today we offer a complimentary private
transfer to the Naples Airport.
